At about this time, one year ago today, I got the final “call” from Miriam to say I’d sold Shadow Kin after a whirlwind two weeks of sleepless nights and excitement. I can’t believe a year has gone by so fast.  And, yes, I still grin when I think about that day.

It’s been a very busy and exciting year.  I feel like I’ve learned a lot but that also that I’ve only just started to scratch the surface…after all, it’s still 7 months until SK hits the shelves. In some ways it’s a strange time after you’ve sold but before that book comes out. Like waiting to catch a plane…you’ve started the journey but you don’t feel like you’ve made a lot of progress towards the actual destination.  Though right now, with a cover about to be unleashed and final edits being done and all sorts of things to plan, I do feel like they’re at least tapping the microphone, getting ready to announce the boarding call lol.  And strange or not, I wouldn’t swap it for the world!
