Winter has hit Melbourne with a solid thump. We’ve had some very cold days and nights. Though, I have to say, also some very pretty sunsets!
Winter is meant to be good for hunkering down inside and writing so hopefully that is true. I’m still working on Playing Fast…it’s one of those books that is coming in snippets and trickles and random pieces that I have to fit together. Hopefully soon the pieces will give me a large enough chunk to see the big picture and put it all together! Writing. Always mysterious.
Not much else to report. I have seen a first version of the cover for Playing Hard and it is awesome. Don’t know when I’ll be able to share, hopefully soon. Other than that, I’m looking forward to some time in the US next month. Though going from Aussie winter to the peak of US summer, especially in steamy New York is always a shock to the system. But a couple of weeks of sunshine and exploring New York and seeing my US friends will be lovely. Until then, it will be head down writing so I can enjoy my time away without having to knock out too many words in a jetlagged state.
Hope you’re all staying warm (or cool as appropriate) where you are!
